Consumer Warning: Detection of Salmonella Bacteria in REEVA Instant Noodles

07/29/2026

The Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority (CAFIA) is warning consumers against consuming the following REEVA brand instant noodles, in which laboratory analyses confirmed the presence of bacteria of the genus Salmonella:

  • REEVA Chicken Instant Noodles, batch L0526Salmonella Richmond was detected in the tested product sample weighing 85 g;
  • REEVA Vegetable Instant Noodles, batch L0126Salmonella spp. was detected in the tested product sample weighing 75 g;
  • REEVA Beef Instant Noodles, batch L1125Salmonella spp. was detected in the tested product sample weighing 75 g.

This warning applies to the specified combinations of flavour and batch number, regardless of the product weight and the minimum durability date. Consumers should not consume these products.

CAFIA has requested the National Institute of Public Health (NIPH) to carry out an expert health risk assessment related to the detection of Salmonella Richmond in REEVA Chicken Instant Noodles, batch L0526. For the other batches, NIPH will also be asked to assess the risk once the specific Salmonella serotype has been identified.

Until the expert assessment is received, CAFIA, as a precautionary measure, recommends that consumers do not consume any of the products listed above.

The number of non-compliant samples gives rise to suspicion of a more extensive hygiene issue directly at the manufacturer’s facility in Ukraine.

Bacteria of the genus Salmonella can cause salmonellosis. Consumers who have consumed any of the listed products and subsequently experience health problems are advised by CAFIA to contact a doctor and inform them about consumption of this product.

The manufacturer of the instant noodles is LLC Euro Food Service, Ukraine. The importer of the inspected products into the Czech Republic is TRUST me s.r.o.

CAFIA continues to investigate the distribution channels and take measures aimed at preventing further placing of the affected products on the market.
