Within continuous intensive food safety inspections, the Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority (CAFIA) detected unsafe food with the name: "CHICKEN AND QUALITY WITHOUT DEATH KURCZAK FRESH BODY OF MEAT", lot designation: 20230211, use by date: 19.02.2023, manufacturer: KABANOS, Kojs Miroslaw i Johanna Kojs - Kowalczyk sp.j., ul. Spóldzielców 1, 34-480 Jablonka, country of origin: Poland.

Laboratory analysis of the product confirmed contamination with Salmonella bacteria.

CAFIA took the lot in question from the network of JIP East Bohemia, a.s. With regard to the fact that the product was labelled with use by date: 19.02.2023, it is no longer available on the market. However, CAFIA strongly recommends all consumers who might have the product at home in a frozen state that they do not consume it. Freezing has virtually no effect on bacterial contamination.

CAFIA will initiate an administrative procedure with the inspected person to impose a sanction and will continue with intensive inspections of the market network.
