11/12/2020

The Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority (CAFIA) ordered company EDOXIS GROUP, s.r.o. based in Prague to immediately withdraw following food supplement from the market: name: USP LABS OxyELITEPro  packaged: à 90 capsules, best before date: by 09 2022, lot: LOT C0119976, manufactured for: USPlabs (Dallas, TX 75220), country of origin: the USA.

A laboratory analysis carried out by the CAFIA accredited laboratory confirmed presence of prohibited substance yohimbine (bark of Pausinystalia yohimbe) amounting to 0.444 milligrams (mg) in 1 capsule. Regulation of the European Parliament and the Council (EC) No. 1925/2006 does not allow presence of any detectable amount of this substance in foodstuffs.

The producer delivered the product without a label in Czech language.

CAFIA inspectors took a sample of the foodstuff within an inspection focused on Internet sale. The product was sold on www.prohormony-cz.cz/.

CAFIA will initiate an administrative procedure on imposition of a fine with the inspected person. The information was entered into the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF).

Preparations containing yohibmine are still offered outside the EU countries for their alleged effects on libido or weight control, etc.
