CAFIA detected food supplement with harmful aluminium content

Within an inspection of food supplements, the Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority (CAFIA) found non-compliant product CHINDELE´S MINERALIEN, best before date: 10th June 2021, producer ROBERT SCHINDELE GESMBH, Mineralien zur Nahrungsergänzung, A-3122 Gansbach, Kucking 18, Austria.

Laboratory analysis confirmed presence of aluminium amounting to 15,760 miligrams (mg) per 1 kg of dry mass of the product. This concentration severalfold exceeds the tolerable daily dosage for aluminium. Based on risk assessment, the food supplement is unsafe for human health according to Article 14 of Regulation (EC) No. 178/2002.

CAFIA ordered the supplier – company Kamenné zdraví s.r.o., Dědinská 625/10, 161 00 Prague 6 – to immediately withdraw the lot in question from retail network and inform all his customers. CAFIA will also initiate an administrative procedure on imposition of a fine with the inspected person.
