From the reason of occurrence of extensive moulds and overall non-acceptable hygiene conditions, the Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority (CAFIA) closed bakery of Radim Metzner on Příční street No. 35 in Čelechovice in Haná region. During the inspection carried out on 21^st November, CAFIA found extensive occurrence of moulds not only on the walls, ceilings, doors, windows, but also in the part of the premises where the producer manufactured bakery products and stored finished products prepared for dispatch. Similar situation was detected in the storage of raw materials as well.

Based on that situation, CAFIA stated that safety of produced and stored foodstuffs cannot be ensured due to the risk of contamination from the outer environment. The producer thus violated Regulation (EC) No. 852/2004. CAFIA therefore imposed immediate ban on using of the premises which becomes valid until the detected deficiencies are removed. CAFIA will initiate an administrative procedure on imposition of a fine with the operator.
