Foodstuffs with Klasa award without deficiencies

01/28/2014

In 2013 the Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority checked in all 229 foodstuffs with  the “Klasa”, award granted 72 domestic producers. The aim of the inspection was to verify whether operators meet not only legal requirements but also extra requirements laid down by “Rules for granting the national Klasa award”. Had been granted and using the Klasa award, the operators voluntarily had bound themselves to keep the above mentioned rules.
Within the concluded inspections, no foodstuff was evaluated as unsatisfactory. Laboratory analysis showed satisfactory parameters in relation both to legal requirements and specific rules of the Klasa award.  Out of the 19 most frequently checked food commodities were following: bakery products, beverages, processed vegetables and milled cereal products. The summary of all evaluated foodstuffs with the Klasa award is available on the Food Pillory in section "Thematic Controls".
