Presence of bacteria unsafe to human health – Listeria monocytogenes – was confirmed by a laboratory analysis of two sorts of delicatessen products, which were sampled by the Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority at the premises of Verner Kotula company based Plotní 13, 746 01 Opava. Positive finding of Listeria monocytogenes was detected in following lots:
Šunkový závitek v aspiku Verner Kotula à 150 g, use by date: 23. 3. 2012,
Pařížský salát Verner Kotula à 120g, use by date: 23. 3. 2013.
The Inspection Authority imposed the operator to contact immediately its retailers running their business in particular in the Opava region and ensure withdrawing of the lots in question. CAFIA strongly recommends that consumers do not eat the mentioned foodstuffs.
