The Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority (hereinafter “CAFIA” only) received today a notification from Poland identifying some other products with serious suspicion of being contaminated with foreign matter – rat poison. The information was received within the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (hereinafter “RASFF” only) and concerns confectionery products from company Magnolia Sp. z o.o. based in Lubsko. As a follow-up to the yesterday´s press release, CAFIA is now publishing an updated list with unsafe products originating from the producer in question and distributors in the Czech Republic:

product: TESCO Family Wafers with vanilla flavor filling 175g in package, best before date 17.02.2013, 22.03.2013 and 21.04.2013,
Kaufland Česká republika, v. o. s.,
product: wafel roll STILLA dolce COCOA ROLLS 2x50g in package, best before date 26.04.2013 and 08.05.2013,
product: wafel STILLA dolce VANILLA VAFERS 80g in package, best before date 21.05.2013,
Pekárny a cukrárny, Náchod, a.s.,
product: PéCéNugátovéTrubičky 35g in package, best before date 24.06.2013, 07.07.2013, 03.09.2013,
product: PéCéVanilkovéTrubičky 35g in package, best before date 07.07.2013,
Based on the precautionary principle, the above mentioned products have being withdrawn from retail network since 21st January 2013 and they are not on sale anymore. CAFIA recommends that all consumers who could have these foodstuffs at home should not consume them.
