CAFIA solved case of a foodstuff containing melamine

03/31/2009

Wild roasted nuts (best before 6 July 2009, 150 g package) were concerned. The foodstuff originating in China was further distributed through the Netherlands and Austria to the Czech Republic where it was sold to final consumers by companies VMB Perla Ltd. from Sokolov and Ronia Ltd. from Znojmo. When controlling both companies CAFIA found out that the foodstuff concerned does not occur on the market any more.
With regard to the best before date with long duration consumers can still store the foodstuff at home. 42 kilograms of this foodstuff was distributed to the Czech Republic. However, it does not pose an acute health risk to consumers.
