12/01/2006

The Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority has defended the ČSN EN ISO 9001:2001 certificate. “The quality management system is fully functioning and therefore continues to meet the requirements of ČSN EN ISO 9001:2001 standard” states the auditor at the conclusion of assessment report the CAFIA received by the end of November. The subject of the certification is the Performance of activities of administrative authority carrying out state supervision in the field of foodstuffs and selected products.

“The approach of individual workers and their professionalism enabled continuous process verification. Qualified staff, suitably defined and managed processes, effective documentation and record management and methods of internal and external communication are strong points of the company,” says the audit.

The CAFIA obtained the certificate last year and it became clear during its this year’s defense that the Inspection Authority has maintained high quality. According to Ing. Jiří Vaníček, CSc. from the certification company BVQI Czech Republic, the quality management system has been developed, documented, established and maintained in accordance with international standard ČSN EN ISO 9001:2001. For a number of requirements it exceeds the scope of the reference standard. “From this point of view we assess it as unique and sophisticated,” he said.

BVQI Czech Republic, s.r.o., is part of an international certification company BVQI which is an independent certification organization and one of the key subsidiary companies of Bureau Veritas S.A. whose registered office is in Paris. BVQI is represented in more than 100 countries.
