The Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority has further results of analyses focused on melamine content in dangerous foodstuffs available. They are foodstuffs originating from China or other Asian countries and containing milk component of any form. However, presence of this chemical substance with exceeding limit was not detected in any of further 11 samples.
CAFIA thus analysed 19 samples in total, all with negative results. However, further sampling is in progress as well as inspections which are more focused on Asian market halls, retails specialised in Asian food or on importers of these foodstuffs. The only case of food contaminated with melamine on the Czech territory thus remains the import of mere 20 packagings of candies White Rabbit, on which CAFIA reported on 24 October.
