Inspection Authority banned production at Lahůdky Cajthaml due to Listeria

12/06/2007

The Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority banned the production and distribution of delicatessen salads at Lahůdky Cajthaml in Chýně. The ban was imposed due to the presence of Listeria monocytogenes in Vlašský Salad (140 g, use by date: 17/12/2007) made by this company. The company was ordered to carry out a complete sanitization of its premises.

Salad of the above batch was made in the quantity of 100 pieces. However, 88 pieces were sold before the product was withdrawn from the market. The Inspection Authority advises consumers who have purchased this salad not to eat it.
