As to commodities and in applying the principle of "risk assessment", great attention during inspections was especially paid to foodstuffs that represent a principal part of the shopping-basket and to microbiologically perishable food. The highest numbers of non-complying samples were detected in commodities such as: fresh vegetables, grape wine, fresh fruit, spirit - alcoholic drinks, bread, dairy products, chocolate - sweets and processed fruit - vegetables. They were followed by meat - meat products, cold meals, poultry, confectioneries - pastries and other foodstuffs.
