CAFIA banned food supplement from the USA containing 6 unauthorised substances including anabolic steroids and medicaments

The Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority (CAFIA) ordered company USA-3D s.r.o., Ciboušovská 815, 431 51 Klášterec nad Ohří to immediately withdraw from the market foodstuff sold under name WARRIOR LABZ SPARTAN WARRIOR SERIES, food supplement packaged à 90 capsules, lot: LOT 2428E, with best before date by: EXP MARCH18, produced and distributed by company WARRIOR LABZ, 1400 Pensacola St. Honolulu, HI 96822, country of origin: the USA.

Laboratory analysis carried out by CAFIA proved presence of 6 unauthorised substances including anabolic steroids and medicaments, of which presence is not authorised in foodstuffs.

  • testosterone amounting to 2,403 milligrams per kilogram (mg/kg),
  • 4,6-androstadien-17-ol-3-one amounting to 5,142 mg/kg,
  • 4,6-androstadien-3,17-dione amounting to 199 mg/kg,
  • 5-androsten-17-ol-3-one amounting to 6,327 mg/kg,
  • clostebol amounting to 69.4 mg/kg,
  • stanozolol amounting to 1.7 mg/kg.

With regard to the facts mentioned above, the foodstuff is unsafe to human health in the meaning of Article 14 of Regulation (EC) No. 178/2002. CAFIA will initiate an administrative procedure on imposition of a fine with the seller. CAFIA also entered the information into the European Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF).

The seller placed the foodstuff on the market by means of e-shop www.usa-supplement.cz. CAFIA recommends all consumers who have the given lot at home, they do not eat it.
