A serious case of adulteration was detected during an inspection of meat products placed on the market within a leaflet special offer in Kaufland v.o.s. in April 2018. The lots of meat tins mentioned below contained significantly lower content of meat than indicated on the labelling:

TASTE MEAT Sedlácké vepřové maso (pork meat), weight 300 g, lot: 23.03.2021, Partia 19 , BBD: 23.03.2021, seller (importer): Laska Dalboss spol. s r.o., Wichterlova 2372/10, 182 00 Prague 8, country of origin: EU. The labelling provided information of 86% of meat, however, laboratory testing found 74.3% of meat only.

The labelling provided information of 89% of meat, however, laboratory testing found 79.2% of meat only.

Both products were processed in Poland.

Indicating untrue information, the producer misled consumers as regards the real content of the foodstuffs and CAFIA ordered him to immediately withdraw the deficient lots from the whole retail network.

In its press releases of 27^th April and of 5^th April 2018, CAFIA has already informed of similar cases of significant and systematic adulteration of foodstuffs offered in leaflets.

CAFIA will initiate an administrative procedure on imposition of a fine with the inspected person and also enters the information on the deficient lots into the European system for fight against adulterated foodstuffs (AACS).
