CAFIA denies formally the information published in the daily “Mladá Fronta Dnes”

CAFIA repeats again its strong warning concerning the food from flooded areas. By no means it is recommended to release into circulation any foodstuffs that provably came into contact with the floodwater, and this warning also concerns the food hermetically sealed. CAFIA continues to perform inspections in the sales network, warehouses and also in the food production premises. It is certainly not tolerated to clean or wash the foods that were flooded with the intent of redistribution in the market. The CAFIA inspectors impose in such cases, without any mercy, bans on sale and order disposal of such food.

CAFIA holds the information released in today’s edition of MF DNES (12/09/2002) to be untrue and misleading. The CAFIA web sites www.czpi.cz, or the information provided by the CAFIA Public Relations Department, are the only official source of information.
