CAFIA warns about suspicious mineral water

11/14/2002

The Czech Police have informed today the Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority about an investigation that has been currently conducted. It deals with a case of a woman that was admitted to the hospital in Pardubice with symptoms of cauterisation of the digestive tract. In the opinion of the Czech Police the women chemically burnt her throat after having consumed a mineral water Hanácká kyselka, orange flavour, packed in 1.5 litre PET bottles, batch identification 25.05.02/25.11.02V, which, reportedly, she bought in one of the hypermarkets in Pardubice. CAFIA, upon receiving this suggestion, started immediately its own investigation in the manufacturer’s premises.
