The Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority (CAFIA) entered an information into the European Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF) concerning a detection of defective foodstuff Indrol – Chutné krůtí maso (krůtí mletý masný polotovar s přidanou vepřovou bílkovinou) – Indrol – Delicious turkey meat (turkey minced meat preparation with added pork protein), packaged à 520g, lot No. 16052704, producer: INDROL sp. z o. o. Poland. Analysis of the product proved contamination by bacteria Salmonella.

The product in question was distributed by company Tesco Stores ČR. a. s. With regard to the fact that the product was labelled by “use by date” by 3rd June 2016“, it is not on the market network anymore. CAFIA strongly warns consumers who may have the product at home in frozen state, they do not eat it. Possible freezing has practically no impact on bacterial contamination.

CAFIA will initiate an administrative procedure on imposition of a fine with the inspected person.
