During today´s inspection at the Penny Market Ltd. retail store at Masaryk street in Veselí nad Moravou, the inspectors of the Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authorithy (CAFIA) found packaged deeply frozen chicken parts from the Polish producer that showed signs of spoilage and the odour of rancid fat. The company was ordered to examine the product in all its premises and to withdraw any other unsuitable packaging from the market.

The captured product was sold under the trade name “Deep frozen chicken parts for soup”, product weight 1 000g, lot identification IV/30/27.07.2011, PL 24044301, best before date 29/01/13, date of production 28/07/2011. The product was assessed as unfit for human consumption.
