Svopex food Paskov and Gurmán Klub could resume production of delicatessen products

07/23/2007

The Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority (CAFIA) on 20 July lifted the ban imposed on the production of delicatessen products at business premises on Papírenská Street in Paskov, belonging to company Svopex food. The company sanitized the premises and took all other measures imposed by the Inspection Authority. The company also submitted a certificate of analysis of samples of newly made Parisian Salad and Egg Salad, carried out by an accredited laboratory. Results of samples taken by the Inspection Authority were also satisfactory. They confirmed that the deficiencies were removed.

It was these two products due to which the CAFIA stopped the production in the premises on 17 July, because they contained Listeria monocytogenes.

Also, the Central Bohemian company Gurmán Klub can again produce delicatessen spreads in their plant in Kamenné Žehrovice; specifically from 23 July from 12 a.m. The CAFIA lifted the ban imposed on the production of spreads on 17 July after laboratory analyses revealed the presence of Listeria monocytogenes in fish spread. Gurmán Klub took all measures to remove the deficiencies.
