The Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority (hereinafter CAFIA only) found serious violation of hygienic rules in Kaufland Česká republika v.o.s. based on Dvořákova 4114/6, 695 01 Hodonín and on June 17, 2013 imposed ban on the use of the store area and on selling foodstuff. On the store area CAFIA found several spots of pests’ presence such as mice excrements and eaten food pieces on shelves. In store facilities CAFIA found plenty of mice excrements and eaten foodstuff pieces.
Rodents‘ presence in food store is against hygienic rules, especially Regulation (EC) 852/2004. Premises areas did not comply with the conditions enabling maintenance of food safety. Imposed ban will be lifted after the store operator proves the removal of all Inspection Authority findings. Inspection Authority ordered to undertake thorough rodents extermination and elimination of all foodstuff affected by rodents. CAFIA stated that undertook measures against pests were not sufficient.
The Inspection Authority will launch an administrative sanction procedure.
