The Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority (hereinafter CAFIA only) closed down premises of Ing. Marián Kebísek situated at Dr. Martínka 1489/1, 70030 Ostrava – Hrabůvka. During its inspection the CAFIA detected rodents‘ excrements in the store area including the shelves with non-packed bakery products. Premises areas did not comply with the conditions enabling maintenance of food safety, therefore Inspection Authority immediately imposed ban on the use of store area for selling foodstuffs. Moreover the Inspection Authority ordered to the premises operator to undertake general cleaning of the store area and the facilities area and examination of all selling products. Foodstuffs affected by rodents‘ presence must be registered and discarded according to the Act on Waste.
The premises operator did not provid appropriate hygienic conditions, neither conditions for rodents‘ control and did not kept store area clean, which denotes that the Regulation (EC) 852/2004 on the hygiene of foodstuffs was breached. Reopening of the premises will be enabled by CAFIA after the store operator proves the removal of all Inspection Authority findings. The Inspection Authority will launch an administrative sanction procedure.
