08/08/2016

The Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority (CAFIA) informs all consumers suffering from gluten allergy or intolerance that this substance was detected in foodstuffs of Hungarian production which were placed on the domestic market without indicating the information on its presence on the labelling. Following products were concerned:

CSABAHÚS CSABAI CSÍPÖS SNACK KOLBÁSZ, with best before date by 11. 8. 2016, producer KAISER FOOD Kft, 5600 Békéscaba Kétegyházi út 8. Hungary, distributed by AHOLD Czech Republic, a.s.

HUNGARIAN PEPPERONI SPICY, with use by date by 03. 08. 2016, producer HU 96 EK (indication in the oval), Hungary, distributed by Tesco Stores ČR a.s.

Presence of gluten which is not indicated on the labelling may pose a threat to persons suffering from gluten allergy on intolerance. CAFIA ordered the given companies to immediately withdraw the lots concerned from the market. CAFIA will initiate an administrative procedure on imposition of a sanction with the inspected persons.
