Maso West: Yes for production of delicatessen products, no for Pineapple dessert

Production of delicatessen products in company Maso West in Gorkého street in Klatovy could be resumed. As of 19 March, the Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority (CAFIA) lifted the ban imposed on the company on 13 March, because company Maso West provided evidences on safe production of delicatessen products.

On 15 March the CAFIA informed on the ban on its websites (laboratory analyses determined Listeria monocytogenes in two sorts of salads, Garnished eggs, and Pineapple desserts – batches were specified in the press release).

The CAFIA has initiated an administrative proceeding with company Maso West.

However, the company must not produce Pineapple desserts so far, because it did not provide a result of an analysis from an accredited laboratory proving that the food is safe.
