Limer could resume production

02/14/2007

Company Limer in Olbrachtova Street in Liberec could, as of 13 February, resume the production of delicatessen products. The Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority (CAFIA) lifted the ban on production imposed on 2 February 2007. The reason for its suspension was the presence of Listeria monocytogenes in Vlašský salad identified by laboratory analysis.

The company has implemented all measures imposed by the Inspection Authority. A complete sanitization and subsequent disinfection of manufacturing premises and manufacturing and technological equipment were performed. The results of screen samples taken from manufacturing equipment for the presence of Listeria monocytogenes were negative. The producer submitted to the CAFIA test samples of salad which complied with prescribed requirements.
