During an inspection of Lidl the Czech Republic v.o.s. at establishment in Ostrov nad Ohří, the Food Inspection Authority found out that some selected products on sale are labelled with a notice which is pointing consumers out the action “REAL CZECH PIG-SLAUGHTERING”. Inspectors found under this labelling also products originating from a German producer.
Three types of brawn and dark brawn were concerned.
By CAFIA´s account, consumers are misled by this label about the food origin because he could think that he buys a product of Czech origin.
The Food Inspection Authority imposed a measure on the producer according to which he has to check and truly label the products which are put into circulation with the label “REAL CZECH PIG-SLAUGHTERING”.
