Kaufland and Spar withdrew from sale two batches of salmon

Company Kaufland had to withdraw from sale Smoked Salad Salmon of a weight of 200 g (producer Almar Kartouzy, Poland), use-by date: 22 February 2007. The withdrawal was ordered by the Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority on 13 February.

The same measure, i.e. withdrawal from sale, had to be implemented by Spar, based on CAFIA’s decision of 15 February. This withdrawal concerned Norwegian Salmon, slices, smoked with cold smoke (use-by date: 20 February 2007). Packaging has a weight of 100 g. Its producer is also Almar Kartouzy, Poland.

Laboratory analysis established the presence of Listeria monocytogenes in these products.
