Inspection of high protein foodstuffs confirmed compliance of protein content with information on labelling

12/14/2020

The Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority performed an inspection activity focused on comparison of the content of proteins in high protein foodstuffs and information stated on the labelling.

The inspection activity was focused on laboratory testing of the total real amount of proteins compared with the information provided on the labelling of tested foodstuffs, which insinuated high content of protein. These so- called high protein foodstuffs include for example protein cereals, protein bars and further.

Within the inspection activity, CAFIA inspectors sampled 16 high protein foodstuffs, and the content of proteins in all cases complied with the nutritional information stated on the labelling.

Summary of all assessed samples of foodstuffs with high protein which were included in the inspection activity was released by the Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority on the Food Pillory website in its section Thematic controls.
