Inspection Authority lifts ban on production of salads in Lahůdky-Palma

Prague company Lahůdky-Palma can, from 22 December 2006, 5 p.m., restart production in food business in Reinerova Street. The Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority has lifted the ban on the production of salads imposed on 21 December 2006.

Together with the ban on the production of salads, the Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority also imposed measures on Lahůdky-Palma, which have been met. These measures included complete sanitization and subsequent disinfection of manufacturing premises and equipment.

The Inspection Authority subsequently carried out inspection of the premises. The results of swab samples taken from manufacturing equipment for the presence of Listeria monocytogenes were negative.

The company has changed its recipes. All fresh and marinated vegetables used for delicatessen salads were replaced by preserved vegetables.
