The Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority (CAFIA) lifted the ban imposed on the manufacture of delicatessen products at Gastroton in Ostrava-Hrabůvka. The company carried out complete disinfection and sanitization of manufacture premises and implemented all other measures imposed by the Inspection Authority. It also submitted certificate of analyses of samples of freshly made salads, specifically Parisian and Vlašský Salad, carried out by an accredited laboratory.
The CAFIA informed in its press release of 4 October that it had suspended production at Gastroton on Dvouletky Street, Ostrava, because laboratory analysis had revealed high amounts of Listeria monocytogenes in the salads.
The Inspection Authority will initiate administrative proceedings against Gastroton.
