Further premises closed down due to catastrophic hygiene

08/23/2013

The Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority (hereinafter “CAFIA” only) found out serious deficiencies at premises  of Trang Ngo Van based at Sídl. Míru 272, 38451 Volary, and on 22nd August 2013 imposed the ban on the use of these premises. The presence of vermin, in particular mouse excrements on stands near bakery products and on the place where fruit and vegetables were offered was found out by the Inspection Authority in the selling section. The massive presence of mouse excrements was revealed, moreover, alive and vital mouse was seen in the background.
The presence of gnawers at the food premises and background is against the hygiene regulations, in particular Regulation (EC) No. 852/2002. The premises failed to meet conditions which keep food safe. Ban imposed on the spot will be lifted after the operator proves that all founded deficiencies were removed. Total cleaning, thorough extermination, and elimination of all foodstuffs damaged by gnawers, were ordered to the operator by the Inspection Authority. CAFIA stated that the existing measures against gnawers were not efficient and sufficient, and the food premises were not clean and tidy.
Administrative procedure on imposition of a fine will be initiated with the inspected person.
