Nineteen tonnes of shelled peanuts from China cannot be, for the time being, released to commercial network. It results from laboratory analysis performed by the Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority. The test revealed that the maximum level of aflatoxins for direct consumption was exceeded. Since the date of import, i.e. since 1 February, this consignment has been under customs supervision.
Peanuts can be released for free circulation only after their treatment proposed by the importer, thus after they are sorted or otherwise physically treated.
