The product was imported by VaV trading company, Ltd, whereas ODK Magnum, Ltd. running e-shops with food supplements was the only purchaser of this product. Among others, herb Tongat Ali, which is another name for plant Eurycoma longifolia (Malayan Ginseng), was indicated in the composition of the product. This herb counts among so-called novel foods and its use has not been approved by the European Commission yet. According to the assessment of the Ministry of Health, foodstuff Golden Erect containing an extract from herb Eurycoma longifolia poses a threat to the health of final consumers.
