Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority informs about choco drink from Germany

The National Contact Point for RASFF received a notification that German company Alnatura Produktions –und Handels GmbH withdrew from the market chocolate soy drink in the manufacture of which contaminated food additive E 412 had been allegedly used.

According to information of the German control authority, this drink was distributed to the Czech Republic as choco soy drink “Alnatura Soja Drink Schoko”, i.e. “Alnatura Chocolate Soy Drink” in a packaging of 1 l and 3 x 0.2 l (grouped packaging) by the company DM Drogerie Markt, Lannova 29, České Budějovice.

According to the findings of the Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority (CAFIA), DM Drogerie Markt withdrew from the market, based on a requirement of the company Alnatura, the following lots of this product – best before date:
Alnatura Chocolate Soy Drink 1 l: 15/12/2007, 25/1/2008, 8/3/2008, 19/4/2008, and 1/6/2008 Alnatura Chocolate Soy Drink 3 x 0.2 l: 25/1/2008, 9/3/2008, 19/4/2008, 20/4/2008, 1/6/2008.

The CAFIA also found out that the company had withdrawn these products from stores and central warehouse and environmentally disposed of them.
