Laboratory tests performed by the Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority (CAFIA) revealed a limit exceeding amount of
Listeria monocytogenes in Chalupářský bok, use by date: 13 August, produced by the food business operator Jan Prantl, Meat industry, Žirovnice. Inspectors took sample of this heat-treated meat product on 7 August in Kaufland in Plzeň where the product was sold in vacuum packaging.
On the present, the CAFIA is investigating this case, already transmitted the findings to the Regional State Veterinary Administration in Plzeň, and informed the local Hygiene Service as well.
