The Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority (CAFIA) found unsafe raisins on the market. Raisins with following labelling are concerned: DR.ENSA Raisins dried, best before date 04/04/2023, lot: E02220197C, producer: ENCINGER SK s.r.o, Jadranská 13, 841 01 Bratislava, Slovakia.

Laboratory analysis performed in an accredited laboratory has confirmed the presence of mineral oil in the foodstuff in the amount of 1,460 milligrams per kilogram (mg/kg). However, according to Regulation (EC) No. 1333/2008, this substance must not be present in foodstuffs at all.

CAFIA inspectors took the sample of this foodstuff at the premises of company NATURAL PACK group s.r.o., 320, Starovice 693 01. The inspectors ordered the inspected person to withdraw the non-compliant lot from the market.

CAFIA recommends all consumers who have the batch of food at home that they do not eat it.

CAFIA has entered additional information into the European Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed RASFF, which will allow for investigation and measures to be taken in the country of the food producer.
