CAFIA warns consumers against unsafe food

The National Contact Point for RASFF received through the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF) information about distribution of unsafe food in the CR. They are milk puddings: Landliebe Grieβpudding Traditionell and Landliebe Grieβpudding Zimt (best before date 10. 03. 2011, weight 150 g) and Landliebe Grieβpudding Traditionell, Landliebe Grieβpudding Zimt, Landliebe Grieβpudding Milchschokolade and Landliebe Grieβpudding Vanille (best before date 04. 03. 2011, weight 150 g). FrieslandCampina Germany GmbH is the producer of the food in question.
These products may include hydrogen peroxide, which is dangerous to human health. Information that had been received by CAFIA was immediately forwarded to the State Veterinary Administration of the CR (SVA) which initiated investigation at Alimpex Food a.s. distributing the products within the CR.

CAFIA is now awaiting the results of the SVA investigation that will reveal whether those products were distributed to retail chains. Regarding the seriousness of the case and because of precautionary reasons, CAFIA warns consumers against the consumption of these puddings.
