With regard to the detected amount of the substance in question, the foodstuff was assessed as unsafe for human health.

CAFIA inspectors took the sample within the inspection of Internet sale by means of a control purchase on Facebook.

CAFIA strongly recommends all consumers who purchased the food lot concerned that they do not eat it.

CAFIA inspectors sampled three further lots of the foodstuff in question and the detected levels of PEA, pursuant to the risk assessment, did not pose a risk for human health.

CAFIA informed consumers and operators of the rules of Internet sale, inter alia, in its press release of 4th December 2020.
