The Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority (CAFIA) warns consumers against foodstuffs Kurkumawurzel gemahlen (ground curcuma) packaged à 50 g with best before date by 31^st December 2016, made for Monolith, Mitte GmbH, in which contamination by Salmonella infanties was confirmed. The lot in question was placed on the Czech market at premises of Jiří Bulák, Masarykova 3094/26, 400 01, Ústí nad Labem. 11 packages have already been sold out of the deficient lot so far. CAFIA received the information via the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF), and recommends all consumers who may have the lot in question at home they do not eat it.
