CAFIA Laboratory Activities

For its own purposes, CAFIA searches and designates, in accordance with Article 37(1) of Regulation (EU) No. 2017/625, official laboratories to perform laboratory analyses, tests and diagnostics on samples taken during official controls and other official activities. The individual designations of official external laboratories are available for download in pdf version below.

Note on performing sample testing for the second expert opinion:

The CAFIA laboratories do not perform sample testing for the second expert opinion.

The laboratories of the SVI Prague, SVI Jihlava, SVI Olomouc, and ISCVBM have the tests for which they have been designated by CAFIA defined by the Annex to the Certificate of Accreditation of the designated laboratory departments. The scope of the designated tests can thus be found in the Annexes to the Certificate of Accreditation of the laboratories in the CIA system at: https://www.cai.cz/?page_id=4499 .

The remaining designated laboratories have a list of designated tests stated in the Annex to the Designation or by defining of the specific tests or the subjects of the tests in the text of the Designation.
