08/13/2021

The producer stated on the labelling, inter alia, that the dry matter comprised at least 32% of the weight product. However, the laboratory analysis proved presence of dry matter amounting to 27.2% only, which means, even after taking +/- 1.5% uncertainty measure into account, misleading of consumers as regards the real content of the foodstuff.

CAFIA inspectors therefore ordered the seller to immediately withdraw the deficient lot from its retail network, and will initiate an administrative procedure on imposition of fine with the inspected person.

CAFIA will enter relevant information into the European System for Fight against adulterated foodstuffs AAC, which will enable to complete investigation of the case in the country of origin.
