CAFIA detected unsafe foodstuffs with lead an aluminium content

During an inspection of Internet sale, the Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority (CAFIA) detected two unsafe food lots with high content of lead and aluminium. Following foodstuffs are concerned:

Křemelina prášek Allnature se skořicí (Diatomaceous earth powder Allnature with cinnamon), packaged à: 300 g, with best before date by: 31/03/2025, lot: 11/02/2021, producer: Allnature s.r.o., Březhradská 148, 503 32 Hradec Králové, CR. Laboratory analysis confirmed presence of aluminium in the foodstuff concerned amounting to 6,122.0 milligrams per kilogram (mg/kg). With regard to the fact that the aluminium content exceeded severalfold the recommended daily dosage, the foodstuff is unsafe for human health.

Křemelina prášek Allnature (Diatomaceous earth powder Allnature), packaged à: 300 g, with best before date by: 31st December 2025, lot: 50820, producer: Allnature s.r.o., Březhradská 148, 503 32 Hradec Králové, CR. Laboratory analysis confirmed presence of lead in the foodstuff concerned amounting to 4.5 milligrams per kilogram (mg/kg). With regard to the fact that the lead content laid down by Regulation (EC) No. 1881/2006 must not be higher than 3.0 mg/kg, the foodstuff is unsafe for human health.

Company VIVANTIS a.s., Školní náměstí 14, 537 01 Chrudim is the operator of the e-shop in question.

CAFIA imposed ban on placing of the foodstuffs on the market and will initiate an administrative procedure on imposition of a fine to the inspected persons.

CAFIA strongly recommends all consumers who may the food lots in question at home that they do not eat them.
