08/26/2015

Due to unacceptable hygiene practice, the Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority (CAFIA) temporarily closed following 10 premises:

Restaurace Na Střelnici - Restaurant (inspected person : Jaroslav Krivák), Fűgnerova 172, 27401 Slaný. CAFIA imposed a ban on the use of the kitchen, storage and connecting corridor. The areas for preparation and storage of meals showed a range of impurities (corrosion on the shelves) including present moulds on the ceiling or fridges. Old dry filth was on the kitchen equipment and the premises were not sufficiently protected against the access of rodents.

Restaurace Pohostinství - Restaurant (inspected person : Josef Prokeš), Čánka 28, 517 73 Opočno. Floors, walls and ceilings of the premises including background showed neglected hygiene practices. Cobwebs and moulds were on the walls of the premises, there were mice excrements on the floor as well as impurities. The fridge with stored foodstuffs was mouldy inside and smelt very badly. Warm water supply was missing at the premises and there were no soap and towels on the toilet.

Potraviny – večerka - Retail with foodstuffs (inspected person : Xuan Thuy Pham), Sokolovská 88/91, Prague. At the storing areas of the premises (corridor and courtyard) foodstuffs were stored in the proximity of damaged walls and they were thus not sufficiently protected against contamination. Cleaning was neglected, moreover, premises were used for activities irrelevant to the subject of the food business. From the reasons mentioned above, CAFIA imposed a ban on the use of the storage of the premises.

Výrobna obložených baget a sendvičů - Production of baguettes and sandwiches (inspected person : JUDDY BAGETY s.r.o.), Budovatelská 579, 742 13 Studénka. The inspectors found ants on the floor of the storage of non-packaged baguettes. There were mice excrements in the storage of foodstuffs and in the room where cheeses were cut. The fridge for semi-processed products (chicken meat , mayonnaise, eggs) was heavily contaminated, rusty and  it was difficult to wash it.

Obchůdek Na Rozhraní - Retail with foodstuffs (inspected person : Hana Lajcmanová), č.p. 60, 569 03 Rozhraní. The floor above the selling shelf was contaminated by rodents‘ excrements and there were mice gnawing in one shelf with confectionary products. The procedures introduced for regulation of rodents were weak which was one of the reasons for the ban on the use of the premises.

Asia bistro- Public catering (inspected person Tam Nguyen Van), Jeremenkova 737/2, 78701 Šumperk. Warm water supply for hygienic washing of working equipment and washing hands on the toilets was missing. The inspectors found heavy contamination on the shelves and working equipment in the kitchen. The premises in question also failed to meet measures already imposed before and repeatedly thus violated hygiene regulations.

Potraviny a smíšené zboží - Retail with foodstuffs (inspected person : Minh Tu Duong), Náměstí 19, 54242 Pilníkov. Warm water and toilet for the staff were missing at the premises. There were mice excrements in the shelves with foodstuffs. The premises was further covered with food packages, and further impurities and walls were partly covered by older cobwebs.

Hostinec u Přívozu - Restaurant (inspected person : Josef Štancl), Kunětice 96, Kunětice. Insect pupas and dead mouse were found in the storage of raw materials. Mice excrements in the shelves with dry foodstuffs and on the floor near this shelve were found out as well as a poisson for rodents in immediate proximity to foodstuffs (lenses, pasta, olives). Area of the kitchen, in particular kitchen equipment were covered by old grease and other impurities.

U Kohoutů - Restaurant (inspected person : Roman Bulín), Budilova 9, 301 00 Plzeň. Alarming conditions of kitchen surfaces and equipment themselves were the reason for closing of the premises. In particular microwave, frying pan or slicer were heavily contaminated with old impurities (dried oil, crumbs and leftovers). Plaster was flaking from the ceiling in the kitchen and uncovered dustbins were found there too.

Restaurace Karel - Restaurant (inspected person : LORIDA s.r.o.), Hrušovanské náměstí 244/3, 184 00 Prague 8. Occurrence of insect pests and mice excrements were reasons for closing of  a part of the premises – storage. Items irrelevant to the subject of business were stored in the background of the premises.

In all cases when unacceptable hygiene conditions were found, CAFIA decided to impose complete or partial ban on the use of the premises until the conditions are remedied and ordered measures are fulfilled. CAFIA will initiate an administrative procedure on imposition of a fine with inspected persons that violated legislation.
