The Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority (CAFIA) imposed ban on using of a part of premises for chips production of company Chips Praha s.r.o. based on Sázavská street 323, 28167 in Stříbrná Skalice. During the inspection carried out on 11th September, CAFIA found entirely non-compliant hygiene conditions, in particular presence of mould on the ceiling, walls, radiators, air conditioning system and cooker extractor hoods. CAFIA further revealed presence of strong filth on side walls of deep fryers and inaccessible places. The facts mentioned above show that the operator failed to ensure conditions laid down by relevant legislation for running a food business appropriately. CAFIA therefore banned using of the non-compliant parts of the production premises, i.e. the frying and preparation premises as well as area with fat separator.
The ban will be lifted only upon the detected deficiencies are removed which will be verified within a follow-up inspection. CAFIA will initiate an administrative procedure on imposition of a fine with the company concerned.
