CAFIA closed down gambling house and restaurant for serious hygiene deficiencies

02/06/2015

Inspectors of the Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority (CAFIA) imposed ban on using of the premises of gambling house Club Bonver Quantanamo (inspected person MOREA INVEST s.r.o.) on Okružní street No. 5 in Jihlava, as they revealed significant violation of hygiene regulations. Apart from gambling machines, roulettes and billiard tables, there was also a bar offering beverages, snacks and panini. The inspectors found mice excrements behind the bar where drinks and meals were prepared. Mice excrements were also present in storage of foodstuffs, in corridors and a changing room of the staff. A part of the premises smelt after mice. Moreover, the operator failed to ensure appropriate and regulate cleaning and waste disposal.
CAFIA further imposed ban on using of the premises of Chinese restaurant Fu Hao (inspected person HUANG HE EURO s.r.o) Masarykova 662, Prague-West. During the inspection CAFIA detected mice excrements and urine in the kitchen, storage of foodstuffs as well as directly in the boxes with foodstuffs. The inspectors also found further deficiencies in the kitchen, in particular equipment contaminated with grease, dust and rests of foodstuffs.
CAFIA ordered both operators to remove the deficiencies and will initiate an administrative procedure on imposition of a fine with them. CAFIA will lift the bans only after the operators prove that the inappropriate conditions were remedied.
