CAFIA closed down further 4 premises for inadmissible hygiene conditions

02/20/2015

During inspections carried out on 18th and 19th February, the Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority (CAFIA) found serious of hygiene regulation to that extent that 3 premises of public catering and 1 retail selling foodstuffs had to be closed on the spot. Namely, following premises are concerned:
Beerhouse, bar and club ZLATÁ HUSA (inspected person Leoš Denk) on Vídeňská street No. 17 in Klatovy. There was no warm water connection with the bar and the staff was not able to ensure hygiene washing of the used dishes and glasses. The premises were not in good conditions, the inspectors found for example overall mess including storage of useless items and also mould. CAFIA imposed a ban on using of the premises which was lifted on 19th February after the operator removed the mentioned deficiencies.
Fast food Kebab – Pizza on T. G. Masaryk street No. 721 in Choceň. Green, grey and black mould was present in the vast part of the background, inter alia on the kitchen unit, in its internal parts where raw materials, such as open flour were stored. The mould was not only on the walls and ceilings but also on the kitchen equipment – rolling pins, pots, pans, on the boxes where fresh vegetables were stored and in the boxes with grated cheese. Distribution was not insulated and water dripped on the walls and floor and contributed thus to spreading of the mould.
Little Temple Club (inspected person PHOENIX Immovables, s.r.o.) on Seifertova street No. 3, Prague 3. There was no warm water connection to the sinks for washing dishes and the staff was not able to ensure hygiene washing of the used dishes and glasses. The clearing was neglected in the premises, the inspectors found inappropriately stored foodstuffs and that is why they imposed a ban on using of the whole area of the premises.
Retail selling foodstuffs of inspected person Renáta Drábová based on Nevězice 80, Nevězice. The premises were under large renovation during the inspection and plaster was completely removed. There was dustiness as a result of construction works and dust was both on packaged and unpackaged foodstuffs and also on the service counter where sausages and cheeses were cut. With regard to the mentioned deficiencies, CAFIA imposed a ban on using of the premises for sale and ordered disposal of contaminated unpacked foodstuffs.
CAFIA will initiate an administrative procedure on imposition of fine with the inspected persons.
