The Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority (CAFIA) had to close down following premises due to unacceptable hygiene practices:
Restaurace Čerchovanka (inspected person Ladislav Štýs), Dr. E. Beneše 93, Horšovský Týn – Malé Předměstí. Equipment in the kitchen (fryer, toaster, burners of the oven, etc.) including used dishes were contaminated by dirt and grease. Also the area for storing of raw materials intended for production of meals was contaminated by settled dirt. The floor in the kitchen in difficultly accessible areas was covered by grease and old filth.
Hospoda Na Hlavní (inspected person Stanislav Musil), Lešany. The floor in the kitchen and behind the kitchen equipment was not kept clean. The fridge was placed in the near proximity of the grill and was rusty and dirty in its lower parts. Items irrelevant to the subject of business were stored in the kitchen as well (ski, bicycle, bed, cleaning agents, etc.) and the overall organisation of the kitchen failed to enable corresponding maintenance, cleaning and disinfection.
Sport Bar (inspected person Radovan Drtil), Havlíčkovo náměstí 166, Jedovnice. In the time of the inspection, the premises were not equipped by warm water supply at none of its places.
Česká hospoda (inspected person Milan Kolman), Domašín 42, Vlašim. The spots under the bar were contaminated by rubbish (papers, used PET bottles), old filth and dust. The air hole in the door leading into the storage was not equipped with a net which means that measures against access of insect were failing. The floor in the storage of foodstuffs showed impurities, e.g. cigarette buts. There were two dead bodies of mice found behind the fridges as well as a large amount of excrements.
Hospoda U PLÍŠKŮ (inspected persons Miroslav Frej a Martina Štěpničková), Náměstí Svobody 5, Vlachovo Březí. Both in the premises of the kitchen operated by Mr Frej as well as in the bar-beer house operated by Mrs Stepnickova mice excrements were present. In the kitchen there were further crumbs, dust and cobwebs found on the floor. Mice excrements were present both in the part for visitors and in the manipulation corridor and WC for the staff as well. The area for visitors was not protected enough against access of rodents from the area of the storage.
Večerka Van Phi Vo (inspected person Van Phi Vo), Mikulčická, Brno – Slatina. Neither warm water supply for washing dishes or glasses nor washing hands were ensured at the premises. The inspectors found out that there is no working toilet and they use so-called “dry” – chemical toilet which is placed directly in the area where packaged foodstuffs are stored. Waste pipe from the sink was not connected with sewage but it was lead out outside the premises.
Restaurace Formanka (inspected person Ondřej Lemon), Na Návsi 103, Vejprnice. Impurities, pieces of foodstuffs and vegetables were in the kitchen under working tables and places with difficult accessibility. In the time of the inspection, the area of the storage was heavily contaminated by cobwebs and coating was flaking from the wall opposite to the entrance door. Items irrelevant to the subject of business were also stored in storages, such as washing machine, hose pipe, used bags and equipment.
Chinese restaurant Cai Shen (inspected person CAI SHEN, s.r.o.), Jugoslávských partyzánů 7, Praha – Dejvice. The inspectors found grease on the floors in the kitchen as well as leftovers in difficultly accessible spots. Coating on the ceiling was flaking and contamination of prepared meals was thus not prevented. The equipment in the kitchen was not in good technical condition, it showed signs of impurities and the risk of contamination was not eliminated as well. Large amount of mice excrements was found in the storage.
Vinotéka SOREKA s.r.o. (inspected person SOREKA s.r.o.), Masarykova 131, Zbýšov. Mice excrements were found in the selling part of the premises as well as in the storage. The operator failed to prevent sufficiently access of pests and failed to ensure appropriate measures for their elimination.
Potraviny Dobromila Hornová (inspected person Dobromila Hornová), Masarykova 131, Zbýšov. Mice excrements were present in the selling part of the premises in the shelves with chocolate and sweets. Signs of mice gnawing were obvious in the storage as well as excrements in some spots, for example between shelves with packaged foodstuffs or packaged non-alcoholic beverages. Corresponding procedures for elimination of pests were not introduced at the premises.
Bich Thuy Nguyen - Večerka Na Špici (inspected person Bich Thuy Nguyen), Úpická 7, Rtyně v Podkrkonoší. Contamination and mice excrements at many spots were found in the selling area and background of the premises as well. The premises were not equipped with sufficient tools for hygienic drying of hands and warm water supply was missing too.
DOMITA - OBCHOD, a. s. (inspected person DOMITA – Obchod, a. s.), Náměstí E. Beneše 127, Milevsko. Black mould and flaking coating were near the transport elevator where foodstuffs are received. Massive presence of black moulds on all walls and ceiling including flaking coating were found in the storage together with a large amount of waste and items irrelevant to the subject of business.
In all cases mentioned when unacceptable hygiene conditions were found, CAFIA decided to completely or partly ban the use of the premises until the present state is remedied and the imposed measures are fulfilled. CAFIA will initiate an administrative procedure on imposition of a fine with the inspected persons that significantly violated legislation. The overview of the premises where the ban on the use was imposed is regularly released on the Food Pillory website in Section
Premises. Apart from detailed information on inspection detections, also photo documentation is available here.
