02/11/2015

During inspections that have been carried out since 5th February 2015, the Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority (CAFIA) imposed bans on using of 5 public catering premises and 1 retail selling foodstuffs. Inspectors found inadmissible hygiene practices that may lead to the threat to consumers’ health in all cases. Namely, following premises are concerned:
Chinese restaurant Fu Shan (inspected person LIDA c.z. s.r.o.) based on Čsl. Legií 115 in Klatovy. CAFIA revealed rests of meals, dry greasy filth and dust in the whole the kitchen – on the cookers and further kitchen equipment. The findings proved that the operator failed to keep elementary hygiene regulations over a long period. That is way CAFIA imposed a ban on using of the premises on 6th February which was lifted today – 11th February, after the imposed measures were met.
Chinese restaurant Peking (inspected person Shujing Zhou) on Nádražní street 172 in Klatovy. Apart from strong filth of kitchen equipment with rests of foodstuffs, grease and dust, the inspectors revealed a sink without pipe connection to sewage, from where water leaked on the floor of the kitchen. Furthermore, the toilet for employees was in unacceptable condition and the operator also failed to ensure waste disposal from the kitchen. The ban imposed on 6th February was lifted on 10th February when the follow-up inspection verified that the conditions in the premises were in compliance with legislation.
Chinese restaurant Xin Dong Hai (inspected person Hai Nan s.r.o.) on Štepánská street 61, Prague 1. The inspection on the spot revealed large layers of grease, dust and food remainings on the kitchen equipment, walls and floors, further heavily contaminated cooling equipment where the operator stored unpacked raw materials, e.g. meat and vegetables. Moreover, a part of raw materials was found on the window ledge without any protection. CAFIA imposed the ban on 9th February and lifted it today on 11th February after the imposed measures was fulfilled.
Chinese Restaurant JIN YAN JIU JIA (inspected person SHENG DA s.r.o.) on Štěpánská street. No. 57, Prague 1. Besides neglected kitchen equipment, walls and floors, which were characterised by layers of rests of food, grease and dust, CAFIA also found a large amount of dead insects, dead and living larvae, and WC for employees out of order. CAFIA imposed a ban on using of the premises.
Gambling room Las Vegas (inspected person Tien Nhuan Nguyen) on Poděbradova street No. 240, Domažlice. The operator, inter alia, served alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and packaged foodstuffs. CAFIA found out that there was no warm water pipe connection into the sink and thus it was not possible to ensure hygiene washing of dishes and glasses for consumers. The operator also failed to ensure a toilet for the employees. CAFIA imposed a ban on using of the premises on the spot.
Nonstop bar Macao (inspected person Věra Šulcová) based on T. G. Masaryka No. 21, Sušice. CAFIA inspector revealed that there was no toilet for the employees available and the bar was in neglected conditions. The equipment of the bar and the floor were not maintained and were damaged. Ensuring proper cleaning was impossible. The operator also failed to ensure regular waste disposal. CAFIA imposed a ban on using of the premises on 10th February which was lifted today on 11th February after the measures were fulfilled.
Retail selling foodstuffs Xuan Mon Dang on Slovanská street No. 182 in Poběžovice. CAFIA found mice excrements and foodstuffs damaged by mice both in the selling area and storage. CAFIA imposed a ban on using of the premises on 5th February and ordered the operator to carry out rodent extermination, sanitation and to ensure the premises against access of rodents, which was fulfilled on 6th February when the ban was lifted. CAFIA will lift the bans only after the inspected persons remove the deficiencies detected which will be verified within follow-up inspections.
