02/18/2015

Beerhouse na Dvorci (inspected person Gabriela Slatavová) on Svitavská street No. 472, Jevíčko. CAFIA inspectors found mice excrements in the premises offering finished meals and beverages. At the same time, the operator failed to ensure regular removal of kitchen disposal. A container with rests of meals collected during several days was found in the kitchen. The overall condition of the premises did not comply with general hygiene requirements – walls and equipment were covered by a layer of greasy filth and dust, equipment was covered by mould, there was condensed water on non-insulated distribution of electricity, which dripped into dirty wet clothes on the floor. CAFIA therefore imposed a ban on the using of the premises.
Beerhouse Pohoda (inspected person Hung Le Viet) on Wolkerova street No. 29, Cheb. The area of the bar was not kept clean – cleaning was not carried out on regular basis, there were damaged floors and accumulated waste – at the time of the inspection, there was no warm running water available. The operator was thus unable to ensure hygiene cleaning of dishes for serving warm and cold beverages. CAFIA therefore imposed a ban on the using of the premises on 12th February 2015. Today, the operator removed the deficiencies and the ban was lifted.
Gambling room Zlatá Hvězda (inspected person ATIS Jihlava s.r.o.) on Masarykovo náměstí 32, Jihlava. The construction of the storage in the premises was not finished, the inspection found that several dozens of boxes with beer and non-alcoholic beverages were stored among construction material under a strong layer of dust. The premises thus failed to comply with minimum safety and hygiene requirements for storing of foodstuffs. CAFIA imposed a ban on the using of the premises.
Retail of company AHOLD Czech Republic a.s., U Šalamounky 2, Prague 5. During the inspection carried out on 13th February, there was neither water available nor emergency source of water was ensured. The retail was characterised by hygiene deficiencies related to the absence of water – dirty floor, smelling WC for employees out of order, no option to wash hands. CAFIA imposed a ban on the using of the premises and lifted it after water supply was ensured and the mentioned deficiencies were removed on 14th February.
Retail of Thi Thu Huong Le on Tomáše Svobody No. 247 in Kopidlno. The inspection revealed a large amount of mice excrements among shelves with foodstuffs and certain packages of foodstuffs were visibly damaged by mice. Moreover, there was a large amount of dust, filth and several pieces of fruit and vegetables under the shelves on the selling area. The examination of the premises also confirmed that they were not ensured against occurrence of rodents, in particular through doors and missing parts of the ceiling. CAFIA closed down the premises on the spot and ordered the operator to carry out a thorough rodent extermination, further to dispose damaged foodstuffs and to ensure the building against access of pests. The operator met this today and the ban was thus lifted.
CAFIA lifts the bans only upon the non-compliant conditions are removed which is verified by follow-up inspections. CAFIA will initiate administrative procedures on imposition of a fine with the inspected persons.
