CAFIA closed down 3 premises in SAPA market

05/27/2016

Inspectors of the Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority (CAFIA) in co-operation with the Regional Directorate of the Police in Prague carried out an inspection of four premises providing public catering in the market hall SAPA on Libušina street in Prague.  The Inspectors had to impose ban on the use of the premises in three cases as serious hygiene deficiencies were detected there. Following premises are concerned:

Pho Quan (operator: Dinh Dung Le), number of the place: QA 21 and QA 22, Libušská 319/126, 14200 Prague. In the course of the inspection when the inspectors observed hygiene deficiencies, employees of rodent extinction company arrived and started to apply a spraying against rodents in an immediate proximity of non-packaged foodstuffs directly in the area were meals were prepared. Due to this extraordinary ostentatious violation of food safety and further violations, the inspectors imposed ban on the use of the whole premises and further on placing more than 30 kg of unfinished products on the market, and on the use of two refrigerators.

Hanh PHAM THI (operator: Hanh PHAM THI), number of the place QA20, Libušská 319/126, 142 00 Prague. There was warm water supply missing at the premises and the stuff thus was not able to ensure hygienic cleaning of glass and dishes. There was only one stainless sink available and equipment for cleaning of hands was also missing. Kitchen and kitchen equipment were neglected in a long-term view. Filth, dust and remains of meals were cumulated on the stoves, behind the equipment and on the floor. The entrance into the premises had to remain open during opening hours and animals had thus free access into the premises. Ban on the use was imposed on the whole premises.

Dong Do (operator: DALATT, spol. s.r.o.), Libušská 319/126, 14200 Prague. The inspectors found out that the premises were not sufficiently ensured against the access of rodents and also excrements were found in the storage. CAFIA therefore imposed ban on the use of the storage in question.

The premises will remain closed until the operators provably remove the detected violations, which will be verified within a repeated inspection. CAFIA will initiate an administrative procedure on imposition of a fine with the operators. For further information on the premises concerned see the relevant section of the Food Pillory.
